Who does what

Asking to list a name

A seller submits a .com they are authorized to sell. The marketplace reviews it. The status after a complete submission is Pending review. The name is not added to the public list. Only an admin can move a listing to Published, and only from Approved. Nothing in the form publishes the name automatically.

Commission

A completed sale pays 5%, deducted from the seller's proceeds. On a $2,000 sale, that illustration is $100 to the marketplace and $1,900 to the seller. A seller whose first listing is submitted on or before January 31, 2027 (America/New_York) pays 0% on sales completed within 6 months of that listing's approval date, then 5%. A seller whose first listing is submitted after that date pays 5%. The 0% window does not start until that first listing is approved. The seller commission on rent-to-own is 5% of the Buy Now price, not of the payment total. It is deducted from the payments as they come in until that commission is satisfied. How each payment is split is pending legal review. Eligibility is the date of the first review submission. A checkbox does not grant the rate, and a draft does not start it.

Ownership check

The marketplace may ask the seller to add a DNS TXT record. A matching lookup is recorded. It does not transfer the name, and it does not publish the listing. The registrar remains the party that can move the name.

Price, offers, and a sale elsewhere

The seller sets the asking price. Rent-to-own is optional and only if the seller also sets the 24-month monthly price. This form does not set a private minimum. If the name sells elsewhere, the seller must say so. An admin can mark a published listing Sold, Suspended, or Removed.

Not defined

The payout target is within 5 business days after the buyer's payment clears and the registrar transfer is confirmed. This is a target, not a guarantee. The payout method and the registrar steps are not defined. The escrow provider is not connected. The working description of the form is on Sell. This page does not add a payout method or registrar procedure.

End of draft. Pending legal review before this page is treated as a policy.
